I'm screwed
Well, so far this year, I have had an extremely fun and relaxing junior year. Second semester was pretty much a breeze for me, as I started out the year taking online U.S. History and Honors English, while continuing AP Computer Science, AP Spanish, and weight training, along with having early release every other day. After finishing my online U.S. History class in about 6 weeks with a 97.8 average, there was no need to come to first period, making it so I had to come in about 9:20 every day, and get out at 12:40 every other day, pertty much the easiest day you can have. All year, I have been focused on slacking off, by not doing my homework, no really paying attention in class and reading Sparknotes for english all year. So far I've managed to pull out all A's and B's, but as of late, that is all crashing down. Suddenly, it seems like all my procrastinantion and lack of work is coming back to bite me in the hiney! So now that I have explained, I will give you a brief overview of the work I have yet to complete:
1. For Honors english, we have had a semster-long project about certain decades. My "decade" was one that got split in half--the eighties, of which I got 1986-1989. We were required to read two books publish during this time period, and write a twenty to twenty-five, yes I repeat, 20-25 page paper talking about how the literature reflects characteristics of the time period. Along with a paper, we were also assigned to make a powerpoint anchoring a 30 minute presentation about our decade. The 20-25 page paper is due this Monday, and so far, I've written all of 0 pages, or words for that matter. This leaves me 4 days from today to do that, which is about 5 pages a day. My presentation is on June 1st, which I also haven't started yet. Yes, I realzie this is ALL my fault for putting it off this long, but it sure does suck!
2. In AP Spanish, we had an AP exam on May 2nd, which I chose not to take part in, leaving me with a final project doe on May 31st. Along with all my other assignments, I have not yet started this either, and to be honest, I really don't even know what I have to do for it, but I guess I can just wing it....
3. Like I said earlier, I took online U.S. History this year, mainly because regular history didn't fit well into my schedule. At the time of the class, I was very excited, because it was so easy, and also beacuse I completed the cirriculum so fast. Now that SOL time is rolling around again, I have completely forgotten all about what I learned, and with my SOL May 23rd, I am kind of worried, marking the first time EVER I have been worried about an SOL test, and I know I will need to devote some time to refreshing my memory of the course.
4. Our final project in AP computer science this year is just that...Another project... For this one, I need to create two new programs, one for next year's class to do, and one program based on my own interest. I have no idea what I'm going to do for either of these either, but I'm hoping I can finish both of these projects in class. This will probably end up being the least of my tasks.
5. Coming up on June 3rd, I have to take the SAT's for the last time before i apply for college. This is kind of important because...well, college. I took the SAT's in 9th grade, and got a 1150, and on the PSAT's in 10th grade, I got a 1250, so I hope the trend will continue and this year I can get atleast a 1350. Again, there's not a lot you can do to prepare for the SAT's, but I will need to devote some time to studying for the test.
6. Lastly, tomarrow, I have the second part of my English SOL, and because it is an SOL, I'm not worried about it, and again, I don't even know what we're going to be doing for it, it could be an essay, it could be a multiple choice test.
So anyways, thats the bulk of my stress about now, baseball is just about over, and summer is quickly approaching, I cannot wait! All readers have a great day, and I'm gonna go start researching 1986-1989.
